Three Different Working Methods Of Laser Cutting Machine
Metal Laser Cutting
When a laser beam passes through a metal material, a cut is created. Laser cutting is usually very precise and clean. The appearance of the cut edge depends on the material. For example, the edges of cut carbon steel are often brighter than the original steel. Aluminum material is no different from the original material.
Laser cutters make very small cuts. The kerf is the width of the groove that is formed when cutting. This varies from material to material and also depends on the specific settings of the laser. For many materials, the cut is between 0.05 mm (0.002 in) and 0.5 mm (0.02 in).
Laser engraving
Laser engraving generally removes the surface layer of the material, rather than cutting through the material completely.
Laser Marking
Laser marking mainly changes the color of the surface of the material and has no effect on the integrity of the material.
Apply a marking solution such as CerMark or Enduramark to the workpiece surface. Engraving is performed after the marking solution has dried. The heat from the laser bonds the solution to the metal, creating a permanent mark.
